A bit on global Warming and the impact (or the absence thereof) on wildfires in California.
Well balanced, no hysteria, no overtones.

A different vacation.
I would not mind doing just that for a week in Alaska during summer.

Springtime in Tierra del Fuego

I'm not a poet, nor do I read poetry, but
I saw this poem at Jemanigh40's blog
and I couldn't let it go,
I have to publish it, too.
It pretty much sums up what Christianity is to me
and has been for the last 20 years. (Thank you, Jemanigh40)
I am a Christian
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I 'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Eerie sights.
The above story is probably caused by the planet Venus (for once it seems to actually be the case)

Words and images from a nut or..?

My "very good friend" at Fox has branded Robert Redford as "Pinhead"
:(
One can perhaps speculate in the motives behind giving people names.
Words like "noble" on one side, "thugs" or "smear" on the other, words that appeal to feelings rather than intellect, appear quite frequently on this channel.

Your Brain is Purple

Of all the brain types, yours is the most idealistic.
You tend to think wild, amazing thoughts. Your dreams and fantasies are intense.
Your thoughts are creative, inventive, and without boundaries.
You tend to spend a lot of time thinking of fictional people and places - or a very different life for yourself.
